The Walking Book Club® 2026–27 season

Julie Kaminski

Twenty years ago, I pressed play on an audiobook, laced up my sneakers, and started moving.

I had no idea what it would become.

What started as a way to support my son through dyslexia — movement and audiobooks, together — grew into The Walking Book Club®: a community that has explored hundreds of audiobooks, connected with authors and narrators, built real friendships, and raised more than $15,000 for causes from literacy and food insecurity to autism awareness, refugee support, and housing for vulnerable youth.

And now, it's evolving.

For 2026–27, The Walking Book Club® is organized around the five elements of the SAVOR Method — three audiobook selections, each paired with a free Walk & Discuss Guide and a virtual member discussion.

The SAVOR Method is the framework I use as a health coach to help women thrive in mind, body, and spirit:

SAVOR - Sustenance

S — Sustenance

our relationship with food and nourishment

SAVOR Activity

A — Activity

exercise and movement

SAVOR - variables

V — Variables

medical, hormonal, and genetic influences

SAVOR - Organization

O — Organization

stress, habits, and the realities of life

SAVOR refuelment

R — Refuelment

meaning, purpose, relationships, and positive emotions

Here's what members are listening to and discussing this year:

The Art and Science of Connection

Summer 2026

The Art & Science of Connection

The "R," for Refuelment — Kasley Killam on how connection and community shape our health, our happiness, and even how long we live.

Food Intelligence

Fall 2026

Food Intelligence.

The "S," for Sustenance — two scientists cut through decades of diet noise to explain what the science actually says about what, and why, we eat. Narrated by Barrie Kreinik, a past guest on our Heart & Soul Book Chats.

Grown Women Talk

WInter 2027

Grown Woman Talk

The "V," for Variables — honest, expert guidance on women's health, hormones, and the midlife questions we don't always ask out loud.

How it works: choose a selection, download its free Walk & Discuss Guide to move and reflect through the audiobook, then join the virtual discussion to gather, share, and connect.
