NYT #1 Best Seller American Dirt author visits with TWBC
The Walking Book Club is proud to partner with Jeanine Cummins, author of the #1 New York Times bestseller, American Dirt, to raise funds for the International Rescue Committee (IRC).
A book chat with Cummins and Yareli Arizmendi, who narrated the audiobook, is scheduled for Friday, May 29 at 1 p.m. EDT.
A limited number of virtual seats are available for the event. Reservations can be made at https://juliekaminski.com/american-dirt/.
A suggested donation of $25 is requested to participate — but any amount will help. The Walking Book Club has pledged to match every donation up to $2,500, and Cummins is also matching all donations generated by the event.
We’ve started our May/June round. Here are the group selections and the general posting format.
Each group selection will have a Discussion Thread that will serve as a breakout “room” for conversation. Please engage in the discussion or check out “book extra” postings, which include information on authors, book topics, book club discussion questions, interesting quotes and more.
What Healthy-Body Happy-Mind topics would you like to see sprinkled in throughout the round? Please let me know what interests you most.
Finally, it warms my heart to see the support growing within the community. Last week, several of you chimed in on sneaker recommendations and options for audiobook platforms. We’re more than just a book club!
A favor, please? Help me spread the word about the American Dirt event. Pass on the link to your friends. Together, we can make a difference.
Cheers to a great round! And welcome to our new members.
