Don’t miss this week’s updates đź’›
Mark your calendars for THREE exciting virtual meetings!
Details below.
1. Happy Hour Book Chat on Saturday June 20th, Big Summer, Pretty Things and If It Bleeds
2. Heart and Soul Book Chat with special guest The Whitney Plantation Museum for The Book of Lost Friends June 27th
The Whitney Plantation Museum and Institute has an exclusive focus on slavery. They are committed to educating the public about the lives of people forced to cultivate sugar and rice on this Louisiana plantation from 1752-1865.Â
During its closure due to the coronavirus pandemic, Whitney Plantation is keeping the entire staff on the payroll. Like many businesses, they face economic uncertainty due to this closure during a normally-busy season.
Please consider making a donation which directly supports the staff and mission, and it is tax-deductible.Â
3. Book Chat with author of The Dearly Beloved, Cara Wall July 19. Details coming soon.
Â
Reserve or earmark your audio book credit for July’s round.

Godshot by Chelsea Beicker, narrated by Lauren Ezzo.
I previewed Beicker’s premier novel and love the narration. I look forward to hearing your thoughts. Approximately 12 hours of listening.
“A dark, deft first novel about the trauma and resilience of both people and the land they inhabit.“ — Kirkus Reviews (Starred Review)
What I Know For Sure by Oprah Winfrey, narrated by her.
Four hours of listening about personal development.
“Candid, moving, exhilarating, uplifting, and dynamic, the words Oprah shares in What I Know for Sure shimmer with the sort of wisdom and truth that listeners will turn to again and again.” — Macmillan Audio
Our walk around the world is progressing nicely.
As of this past Monday, we added another 840 miles to bring the grand total to just under 1500 miles!Â
