The Walking Book Club Highlights:
Goal Setting Tip:
Put your goals where you can see them every single day. Be creative — make a computer home screen picture that pops up every time you log on, try a vision board hung in your closet that you see every morning and every night, write a note and post it on the back of the bathroom door.
These are primes of your environment. (For more on primes, download my free pdf here.)
If other people see them, all the better — they can support your efforts and cheer on your accomplishments.
Healthy-Body Happy-Mind Information:
Obesogenic environmental factors include social influences, demographics, food marketing, government policy, pollution, and more. One of the most noteworthy quotes from Dr. Greger’s How Not To Diet on how obesogenic pollutants are influencing our waistlines was the statement, “One clue that pollutants may be playing some role is that our pets are also getting fatter.”
#milesandminutes
We’re approaching a collective total of close to 10,000 miles. Every minute, mile, and kilometer counts, so keep on moving!
Here’s what’s on the horizon:
September is Lisa Wingate month!
With over 30 novels penned in her career, I hope you can find something that interests you.
The Walking Book Club loved Before We Were Yours and The Book of Lost Friends. Lisa will be joining us for the third “Heart and Soul” zoom call to benefit Feeding America. A small donation is requested to participate.
Here’s a 20 min snippet from our book chat with Cara Wall and Kathy Keane on The Dearly Beloved. This clip picks up on the question of Nan versus Lily and listeners’ reactions to the characters. Keep your eyes open for new Zoom call dates.
Together, we can make a difference.
xo,
Julie
